Ruli Hospital Hosts Five-Day Ultrasound Training Supported by Matres Mundi

On January 26, 2026, Ruli Hospital officially launched a five-day training program on ultrasound, organized in collaboration with Matres Mundi. The training aims to strengthen the capacity of healthcare providers in maternal and newborn care.

The event was officially opened by the Director General of Ruli Hospital, Dr. Kaneza, alongside the Matres Mundi Rwanda Representative, Dr. Ngirabega. Both leaders emphasized the importance of continuous professional development in improving healthcare services, particularly in maternal and child health.

The training is being facilitated by experienced professionals from Barcelona, Letricia Benitez and Judith Balcells, who bring valuable expertise in ultrasound practice and maternal healthcare.

Participants in the training include selected nurses, midwives, and doctors from Ruli Hospital and health centers within its catchment area.

Through this program, participants expect to gain additional knowledge and practical skills that will enhance their ability to care for pregnant women and their babies, ultimately improving the quality of services provided in the community.

The initiative reflects a strong commitment to advancing maternal and newborn healthcare through education and international collaboration.
